Gaping Maw

There are certain images that tend to get my blood flowing, and this is one of them...not this drawing, per se, but what it represents - the fat woman with mouth agape, waiting eagerly for the next heaping mouthful. The open orifice has obvious sexual connotations, but there's more at work here. The gesture is simultaneously compliant and commanding. She's submitting to the excessive offering, but she's certainly not going to take it timidly. It's quite a wonderful dichotomy.

I'm also experimenting with some slightly different Photoshop techniques here: Gaussian blur, layer transparencies, gradient fills in masks, etc. For you pros out there it's less than elementary stuff, but for a guy like me, it's something of a stretch. Many of these recent images have also been done entirely digitally, from sketch to finished product, which is also something new for me. I've always drawn things out on paper, then scanned them. This way is more friendly to the trees.
