Weighing In

I have no idea why, but the escalating numbers associated with weight-gain -- those ever climbing figures on the scale -- have always captivated me. I suppose it's because they serve as an incontrovertible proof of the new poundage. I like stretch marks and tightening clothes for the same reason. Here's a drawing of a woman who's a little concerned about how fast she's gaining. Luckily, the industrial scale she's standing on can handle much heavier weights than hers...because she'll be pushing the numbers ever higher as her fattening journey continues.
